Why Should I Attend a Support Group?
Attending a group is an opportunity to connect with others who have had a loss and are experiencing grief. It is an opportunity to express yourself, if you choose, in a safe and friendly environment. It is an opportunity to experience hope that you will feel better again. Most people report feeling better even after attending their first group session. The support group is one of the most effective and beneficial ways of helping you cope with your loss.
Please call 912-588-0080 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to attend or request more information. For information on support for for children ages 6 to 12, please see our Camp Hope page.
COVID-19 Update – Grief Care
In order to care for families to our best ability, Hospice of South Georgia will be proactive in supporting families through grief care. During this interim time, we have postponed our meeting on Monday evenings at 6pm, however, we will offer continued care on a more personal level. Usually we set up meetings and ask those interested to come to the Hospice office for a nine week support group.
Beginning immediately, if you would like to utilize our support services, all you need to do is call our office and one of our grief counselors will set up a time to come to you. Please do not hesitate to call us; we are here to serve you and your family.
